Emily Kim, Social Impact Strategist
Emily is a recent college graduate of Pitzer College. After a rollercoaster of three years in Southern California, she has returned to her hometown of Dallas. Her time in college garnered many experiences in research and project coordination with non-profits and school organizations.
Two pieces she worked on during her Senior year was the Re-imagining of Adelanto as a Post-Detention Center City and the Community Resilience and Practices of North American Chinatowns during COVID-19. She has a high skillset in both qualitative and quantitative research such as interviewing, coding, focus groups, and working with numerical data. This is also supported by her background in data programming with skills like Python, SPSS, GIS, MATLAB, and many more. She hopes to utilize and validate all forms of knowledge/data in efforts to support communities in need.
Emily strongly believes in expanding the current understandings of human rights and wants to work towards creating just and equitable communities. She is passionate about holistic frameworks of changemaking and feels deeply aligned with the individualized approach WNT practices. She is excited to join WNT as a Social Impact Specialist!
